In A Toxic World, Clean Your Body From The Inside Out

Our bodies are perfectly designed. Our immune system, when working properly is a wonder of efficiency and protection. It almost seems magical how food and water is processed through our digestive tracts where every useful vitamin and mineral is extracted and utilized, then the leftovers are flushed out and expelled. Yes, our bodies are perfectly designed, which is why there is the idea that we don’t need things such as supplements or periodic cleansing. Well in a perfect world where there was only completely nutritious food and no toxins of any kind we wouldn’t need anything else. Unfortunately we don’t live in that world anymore.

When food is mass produced and grown in depleted soils it lacks the quantity of vitamins and minerals we need. Our beef and poultry is produced with questionable feeding and processing practices and hormones to increase growth. It’s almost common place to hear about food products being recalled because of contamination of one sort or another. Many of us have diets that consist of too many unhealthy fats, too much sugar, and too many processed foods, high in fat, salt, sugar, preservatives and additives such as food colorings. Then there’s nicotine, alcohol and a myriad of prescription medications. All of this leads to over acidity, clogging of arteries, unnecessary and harmful chemicals in the body which taxes the liver, the colon and the rest of the organs as well. Fast Ways to Lose Weight

It’s really a downer when you reach a point that your jeans are just too damn tight, you’re middle area is expanding and unwelcome rolls of flab spill out over your pants when you sit down!  Ever stood in your closet, rifling thorough your clothes trying to find something that doesn’t make you look or feel “too fat”? Oh I think we’ve all been there!! Then, even if you’ve stayed in shape (pretty much) your whole life, guess what’s next? That’s right…menopause! Ladies you know what I’m talking about! It’s like body betrayal! Hot flashes, night sweats and a spare tire just for fun!  Well it’s not fun and it’s not funny. Suddenly you’re searching for ways to burn more calories,  looking for a quick way to lose weight, wondering if something as simple as walking to lose weight is the answer, then you realize, this is not such a simple problem. Well I’m just not willing to “let it all go” because of the silly idea that “That’s just the way things are”. I’m only in my 50s!…Yes, I know that’s old, old, old, to the youngsters, but once you get here it just doesn’t seem that old at all! I have LOTS of things I still want to do! I figured I knew exactly how to eat right, I’ve been paying attention to it my whole life, but when the “middle age spread” came along, I was stumped. So I began to look around and investigate. That’s when I came across this little dynamo, Isabel De La Rosa. This woman knows her stuff! Wow! She graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in exercise physiology, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and is a Holistic Nutrition Lifestyle Coach…oh wait, one more thing, she is also certified by the Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology Institute in San Diego. Geez Isabel!  Little busy, are you?? Ha! Ha! Anyway, she has spent years studying the chemistry of the body and how we react to foods and the massive amount of “non-foods” that we shove down our throats every day, thinking we’re doing ourselves a favor! Her program is simple and simply amazing! Full of common sense and priceless information. Some of what she has to say was familiar. I mean the idea of the “fake butter spreads” being bad for you? That was a gut feeling I’ve always had, and I’ve shied away from them. Well the bottom line is this. If you want to lose pounds do what works. Quick Weight Loss Tips

Wow if there was a magic wand and super fast ways to lose weight we’d all be thin and trim in an instant! Keep this in mind…the fastest way to lose weight may not always be the best way. Magic wands may be only a dream but there’s definitely actions you can take that will lead you to the best way to lose weight…for YOU. Knowledge to help you to lose pounds, feel better, and avoid unhealthy ways to lose weight. Hey you only have one body right? Take care of it! Avoid, fast but unhealthy ways to lose weight, because they don’t last, and you’re playing with your health!

So here’s a couple of tips to get you started:

1. Don’t focus on what you CAN’T have, focus on what you CAN. In other words, feed your body so your cravings don’t control you! Have you ever noticed that when you eat certain foods (like certain TV dinners) that you just don’t feel satisfied? It’s because your body is still crying out to be nourished! So the cravings kick in. That’s your body saying FEED ME! Hey we all eat for emotional reasons too once in a while, but I know from experience that if I’ve properly nourished my body, my brain chemistry seems to be changed and the binges (emotional, or just physical) happen a lot less and are much easier to control.

2. No matter what eat some breakfast! But no giant stack of pancakes ok? No deep fried muffins, No heaping plate of fried greasy potatoes. Not that these foods are the devil…I mean who doesn’t like a deep fried muffin now and then? They just don’t nourish you, and they cause your blood sugar to spike then drop, and they leave you craving more because your poor body needs fuel. Try the Smoothie Recipe on the right side of this page…That’s the kind of thing to keep you going! Give eggs the rightful place they deserve…in YOUR stomach! Now I know eggs have gotten a bad rap. I don’t believe it, but if you feel you must go easy on the eggs, go easy, but don’t ban them! Keep Yogurt and fruit on hand. Almonds are fantastic! You’ll burn more calories and feel worlds better and you won’t have to go on some crazy starvation crash diet to lose weight fast, if you take a little care and feed yourself instead of depriving yourself. I know you’re looking for fast ways to lose weight, but don’t try to do it all in a week either…be kind to yourself!

3. My last little tip of the day is to deep breathe. No don’t just stand there and take a few deep breaths! Set aside a few minutes – ten would be great – and slowly breathe all the way in filling your stomach on up to your lungs, and then slowly breathe out. That’s it! For about 10 minutes! Your wonderful body will thank you! Think of it like this…stoking your metabolic furnace, oxygenating your blood. If you can give yourself just those 10 little minutes a day for a week, I’ll bet you will really notice the difference!
